I'm going this weekend to put my last stand out before rifle season opens and I am downright thrilled!!! I love the woods, I feel at home in them. I could live there just moving about from place to place. Well only to a certain extent, it would get lonely and where would church and Christian fellowship be? But that just to say I am very anxious to see what the season will be like this year. I have about 12 hunting day's planned. Pretty much every Saturday from October 18th through January first, with the exception of just a couple. And I also have a couple of Fridays off in between there. It's so wonderful to sit up there in them trees and just enjoy Gods creation. Half the time even if I don't see nothin' it's still just as great as if I did.
But Saturday I get to go on another hike, slightly less than the eight mile hike I took Saturday before this past. I'm puttin' up my summit in the field. It's not as far from the house as my other stand is. So if I just want to get a quick hunt, in I can run over there climb the tree and begin. I'll keep my camera close so I can take pictures and post them and all of y'all can enjoy the beauty of Gods creation with me.

Getting ready!
Rifle season is opening for deer on October 18th and I am absolutely stoked. I'm not a big bow hunter but I love rifle season. I went out this past Saturday and put my stand in a tree, and I believe it is going to be a good year. There are muscadines littering the ground, acorns everywhere, and so much deer poop you'd think you were at a petting zoo! There are tons small saplings with last years scars of scrapes made on them, and this year I hope to see some fresh ones when in draws near to rut! My rifle is sighted in, my groups are touching at 100 yards. My equipment is all ready to rock n roll! I don't have any pictures or video's yet but hope to post some later. I'll have my camera in the tree with me so any deer a shoot you should be there with me. I'll keep you posted to how the season pans out.
Peace!!
Peace!!
